Trapped within ice in a seemingly endless winter. Longing for sunlight to thaw the ice that binds him and set him free. With his hope failing he tells himself to hold on as he begs for his frozen isolation to end and for life to begin again. Something that many of us around the world have felt in 2020 and 2021.

Frozen. Trapped in a sea of ice. Wanting a sunlit land with only light. Hold on. Will our lifeline return to the sky and set us free? Or Will snow fall and bury me? Give me my life from this cold isolation. Give me my time from this forced hibernation. Is this delusion that fire will untie me? Give me the time that is rightfully mine. Give me the day when the light will unchain me. Am I insane to believe fire will save me. What will be left of my life when this ends and will the world still be the same if I make it? Life is a reason just to hold on till this ends and don’t let it go. I’m numb from the cold that’s come to lock me down in here. Find me. All I need for this life is a light. Amazing light. Come free me, amazing light. Snow falls. It rains. My fire refuses to burn. Pray, I feel the light. Save me firelight. Give me my life from this cold isolation.
